The Canadian Union of Postal Workers is joining the Canadian Network on Cuba (CNC) in a vibrant fundraising campaign for greatly-needed medical supplies for Cuba. The campaign launched January 8, and the goal is to raise $50,000 to fill and ship a container of supplies by the end of March.
Cuba’s medical community is known for important accomplishments and international humanitarian aid around the world. Cuba’s Henry Reeve International Medical Brigade, which does disaster relief work in many countries, has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize.
But for Cubans in need of medical services, the increased tightening by the United States of its illegal, immoral blockade against Cuba means great difficulty and needless suffering during the pandemic.
