Over 600 CUPW members across the country gathered in Toronto during the first week of May for the CUPW National Convention. Over five days, delegates decided on the future direction of the Union and adopted an action plan to guide us as we continue the fight for better working conditions and wages, and for a strong and innovative public post office that serves all communities.
The National Executive Board was given a decisive mandate to continue to lead the membership through the post-pandemic recovery and prepare for a tough round of bargaining for our two biggest bargaining units and our Public Sector Bargaining Units. We will work to strengthen the relationships between locals, regions, and the national office. We will prioritize work floor organizing and building a unified, mobilized, strong membership to fight back against any attacks on workers, while improving working conditions for all workers. Our goal is an inclusive, strong, and unified CUPW, and we will achieve this by working together.
